A. Rakina White, AKA Adrienne White is a Nurse Practitioner and global health professional who was born and raised on the West and South Sides of Chicago. She traveled to twelve countries in Africa and lived in three of them, all on a shoestring budget. A. Rakina received her Undergraduate Degree in Nursing at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, Masters in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Global Health from UW-Madison’s Global Health Institute. She earned a fellowship in Global Clinical Education from the Massachusetts General Hospital’s Center of Global Health. Currently based in Atlanta, Georgia, A. Rakina works in college health and is planning for her next travel experience.
